First Day!

So tonights post is going to be short. I had my first official shift at Harkins Tucson Spectrum 18. And I have to say that that building has some of the nicest people you could ever meet! Everyone was so helpful and polite and nice! Worked back bar 3:30 and didn't get out until 12:30 so I am pooped! Can't wait for another day at my new theatre :] Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend!

First Good Deed

So the night Olivia and I decided to start our new lifestyle journey we went to WalMart which is where you can usually find us! Well we were trying to find a parking spot and the only one in the row was the spot with about 10 shopping carts just chillin in it. I slowly pulled into the parking spot slightly bumbing a few carts and pulling in enough to get by. After we got our stuff and safely locked away our stereo :] we got out of the truck. And to my surprise Olivia (ignoring her fear of them) was over putting all the carts together. I joined her and together we put all the carts together and pushed them over to one of the cart house things! We accomplished our first deed and felt super excited.

Today was my first TL meeting! Thank goodness that Olivia already has faced this new theatre and was there to go with me. It was a lot different to go into a theatre and not know exactly what was going on. Everyone was super nice and we went upstairs to our meeting and everything was good. Then after Olivia and I went to Eegees. Everyone had been telling us to try it and we finally got around to it. It was DELICIOUS!!! We had the watermelon drink as we were told everyone waits for watermelon month! And after we went to the stores in the little mall with the Eegees that is also located right next to our apartment. We went to a store called Factory 2 U, which was somewhat like Ross but cheaper haa! We both bought curtains, cute $8 heels, and a few other house items that we still needed. Quite an accomplishing day, and tomorrow I have my first real shift at Tucson Harkins! Hope everyone has an amazing weekend :]

One Month In

Hi, this is Alyssa! So me and Olivia have spent our first month in wonderful Tucson and are finally settling into the apartment. There have been quite a few changes and situations that have been thrown around through out the month but this week we both decided our final decisions. I finished my last day at San Tan and start at Tucson tomorrow. Olivia has decided to stick with Pima for school and is also at Tucson Spectrum showing them how the Gilbert Girls do it. Well at dinner last night we were both talking about things to give up to better ourselves. We kept talking and decided a whole system that we are going to do each month that is sort of like Lent. We are giving up one health related item and one lifestyle change. As well as taking up something that correlates with the given up item. We also are going to volunteer once a month for different foundations. Lastly we chose to do at least 3 good deeds a week and document them to remember. This month I am giving up soda, and Olivia is giving up tea and we both are drinking more juice and water. After we decided everything we were giving up for the month we went to our favorite store, WalMart! We each bought two different types of juice and poster boards to document our journey. We also decided to start this blog to keep all of our family and friends updated on our journey through everything from our new life styles to a new theatre as well as living 90 minutes away from everyone we grew up with.

Today to finalize ALL of our new decisions we went once again to WalMart and bought hair dye! We thought that a whole new town should also see a whole new Alyssa and Olivia. Olivia chose a brownish/auburn color and I nervously chose black. I am happy to report that both came out AMAZING! We are very happy with our new hair colors and of course our new life in Tucson.
